OUR CURRICULUM
Our curriculum is constantly evolving, much like a tree that grows and adapts over time. Its roots are firmly established, providing a solid foundation built on a wealth of early years knowledge and experience. Our goal is to offer a diverse range of hands-on, real-life experiences, thereby expanding each child’s understanding and building on their existing knowledge.
Our skilled team fosters robust relationships with each child and their families, recognising the importance of understanding each child's starting point and what motivates them. Each child will flourish at their own pace, as individuality is at the heart of our approach. The unique strengths and interests of our children inspire us to create a personalised learning framework.
Each term brings new experiences as our children continue to evolve and grow. We offer opportunities for exploration both inside and outside the nursery environment, as excursions into our local community are vital for fostering growth. Exploring our local surroundings and investigating what lies beyond is a cornerstone of our curriculum. Educational walks are a regular feature of our activities, and children will partake in forest walks and visits to local landmarks.
We also invite external professionals who specialise in activities that we believe will enrich our children's experiences, providing them with challenges, growth opportunities, and exposure to social diversity. Currently, we have partnerships with Active Families, offering dance sessions, alongside Pass and Shoot, which focuses on football, physical skills, and outdoor team-building.
Our objective is to identify learning opportunities in everything we do, always keeping in mind the importance of building life skills and confidence in each child. We promote a sense of freedom in learning, as having fun is essential to the experience.
The aim of our Curriculum is to enrich the lives of those who are part of it! We want independent learners that thrive on challenge and have a natural curiosity.
